The Au Courant fundraising party, The Golden Age of Hollywood raised $65,000 for Child & Family RI!
Child & Family RI is a nonprofit organization that works to strengthen families, their members and the communities in which they live. The agency is the largest and most comprehensive social service provider in Newport County, and one of the largest in Rhode Island.
6 designer runway shows produced by StyleWeek brought over 300 people to Salve Regina University’s Ochre Court on June 26th. Designers included Jonathan Joseph Peters, Jess Abernathy, Antwan Bryd, Robert Merton, Artiss Akarra, and Amy Stetkiewicz.
The evening began inside the waterfront mansion with stained glass windows and a ceiling painted like the Sistine Chapel. Hors d’oeuvres were served while guests shopped the accessories showcase and mingled with one another. Local businesses were selling their unique designs, including Kent Stenson handbags, House of Cach, Athalia Originals, Flaunt Boutique, Carmen and Ginger, Archetype Vintage, and Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski among others.
The night continued in the tent with a video showcasing the work of Child & Family and ABC6 meteorologist Steve Cascione as the emcee to the live auction. It was then completed with the runway shows, as models were ushered onto the runway.
Congratulations again to Child & Family for raising $65,000 and allowing StyleWeek to be part of such a successful event!
XO, Victoria
