Ting Barnard is a familiar face that you’ll often see at StyleWeek and events throughout the Rhode Island community. She is one of the two Co-chairs of Leadership RI, a YearUp mentor, a board member of the PVD Lady Project, StyleWeek, SEED and the Lincoln School Parent Association, as well as a member of several nonprofit organizations such as Amos House, Children’s Friend, PeaceLove and Leadership RI’s Keep RI Stronger.
Contributing more than her fair share to the community, it is a wonder how Ting juggles all of this and still reminds herself of what she calls “her most important role,” of being the best mother she can be to her daughter Victory.
“I just want her to be a good person who is kind and compassionate.”
Continuing to conquer with her non-stop attitude, Ting presented the Tong Collection on the StyleWeek runway in 2012. Named after her mother, the Tong Collection offered versatile looks that could easily be worn from a busy day at the office to a night out on the town.
Ting’s experience and love of fashion, finance and philanthropy has evolved into
Ting Barnard’s Studio.
According to Ting, “My involvement in StyleWeek has really empowered my brand and helped me to refine my mission statement.”
Ting owns and operates her own consulting firm that helps to connect businesses with the right ambassadors in the correct industries to generate brand awareness with a philanthropic twist. To Ting, connecting the right brands to the right people is much more than a business transaction. Instead, it is the foundation of a lasting relationship, partnership and friendship.
