Welcome to StyleWeek’s first edition of our Sunday Yass looks! You might be wondering, what exactly does yass mean? Well, yass is a slang version of yes but with much more emotion and a sense of approval. When it comes to an outfit, it means that it deserves to be on a best dressed list and we can’t get enough of it.
A yass outfit doesn’t have to be for a formal event such as a gala. It can be an outfit worn to go shopping; walk around town; go to class; or to work. Here at StyleWeek, we want to highlight style not only in the Northeast but in Rhode Island.
Every Sunday, we want to bring this style through the submissions of you – the reader. Whether you can’t get enough of an outfit you wore during the week or you spot someone whose outfit is impeccable, take a picture (with their permission) and send it to us. At the end of the week, we will review the looks and choose up to three top looks. What a way to show off your style by being featured on StyleWeek’s blog!
Our yass looks for this past week belongs to Kara Sitnik and Jordan Wynn. Both Kara, and Jordan are giving us layered autumn looks as the temperature hasn’t been as constant as normal for this time of year. Their outfits allow for adjustment with the weather which is key when transiting from day to night. They also didn’t forget about accessories which adds depth and interest to their outfits. We love their choice in accessories! Accessories such as hats, scarves, and bags can make or break an outfit.
