TANGOELLA by Ella Tang

Tang-300x281

The TANGOELLA signature style is sensual meets edgy. Central to the TANGOELLA design are the elements of balance and proportion. Versatile timeless pieces introduce a rhythm that impacts the wardrobe. The philosophy of TANGOELLA is that clothing should make one feel effortlessly beautiful and empowered.

Ella Tang created the TANGOELLA concept at the end of 2013. Ella’s artistic sensibility to designing collections that convey modern with an edge became a driving force in her creative life, after working in the fashion industry for over fifteen years.

Ella credits her love of design to early exposures to couture, mathematics and dance. After traveling to America from Taiwan, she attended the University of Massachusetts where she was awarded a Masters Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. She immediately enrolled in the School of Fashion Design in Boston and graduated two years later with a degree in Fashion Design.

DEVINTO by Aiste Zitnikaite

DEVINTO is an eco and ethically conscious label established in Montreal, Canada and relocated to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It is designed and produced locally on Cape Cod using natural and eco friendly fabrics without compromising style. DEVINTO designs are equally focused on comfort, glamour, and fair principles during the creation and production process.

The labels creator and designer Aiste Zitnikaite was born in Lithuania when it was still part of the USSR where, because of necessity, most women made their own clothes. That environment led Aiste to have a more personal approach to clothing once she immigrated to Canada at the age of twelve.

After her studies in Fashion Design at LaSalle College in Montreal, she went on to work for several Montreal based designers working as a seamstress, sample maker and pattern maker. While working in the industry, it was apparent that most apparel companies in Montreal were outsourcing production overseas and losing the connection to the “hands on approach” that was important to Aiste. She decided to strike out on her own and to do it differently.

Aiste’s mission is to build back the type of personal connection we should have to our clothes that she had growing up in Lithuania – a part of a healthier, more sustainable and ethical alternative to fast, “disposable” fashion. Aiste’s goal for DEVINTO is designing another option to the more common eco fashion aesthetic – a more modern yet classic and timeless look that can be both cutting edge and casual.

La Fille Colette by Colette Chrétien

collette-300x300

La Fille Colette was created for a feminine and strong woman who seeks versatile, polished pieces to take her from day to night. Their mission is to produce exciting and elevated garments that retain an easy-to-wear accessibility.

Colette Chrétien is the designer and founder of La Fille Colette, and is based out of Boston. In her designs, Colette draws inspiration from art movements, and lately has been exploring op art. Her interest in geometric shapes, the play of intersecting lines, and the pairing of unexpected colors is evidenced in her graphic collection.

Colette has been studying fine art as well as designing dresses from a very young age. She began as a toddler, dreaming up decadent princess ball gowns rendered in crayon, and later moved on to sketch stage outfits for her childhood sartorial icons, the Spice Girls. In college, she merged fine art and fashion in much of her work. She graduated from Tufts University, and was dual-enrolled at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where she was awarded a grant to paint in the French Riviera. For Colette, fashion and art have always been inextricable.

La Fille Colette is very proud to be made in the United States and prioritizes socially and environmentally responsible practices. Their garments are produced on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
