February 18, 8PM Earl Battle: Battle Designs

Continuing Wednesday night’s shows was Earl Battle of Battle Designs.

Earl J. Battle originally from Jamestown, NY, started designing and making clothing at the age of 10, for his mother who couldn’t find comfortable fitted garments in her size to wear. Today Earl owns and Operates Battle Designs where he produces custom fit designs for day, evening and bridal wear. In June 2013, Earl was a Featured Artist for Boston’s RAWartists in fashion design and later that year was nominated to the Top five in fashion design for fashion designer of the year. Expanding his portfolio, Earl continues to design costumes each year for the charitable event “Band in Boston” an event that raises money for arts for kids. Earl has also designed shows like the off Broadway play “Miss Ever’s Boys”, and Operas like “Porgy and Bess”, “Kismet” and a few others at Utah Festival Opera Company.

This season, Earl Battle designed refined looks for both men and women. The menswear line featured cowl neck sweaters in different patterns and relaxed jackets in wool. The the womens’ line showcased evening wear in metallic, lace, and sequins for a night out on the town. We loved the way the gowns shined on the runway!
