A veteran to StyleWeek’s fashion shows, Carissa Lynne Frazier has five fun facts she wants to share!

1. I first got into design because my friend was reconstructing old band t-shirts and I thought it would be a fun activity for both of us to participate in.
2. The only sewing experience I have is from Middle School and High School classes. I studied Studio Art and Sculpture as a freshman in college, but finished with a Bachelors in Writing Communications.
3. Most of my designs are inspired by the tactfulness of fabrics and their unique or vintage aesthetic. Then I sort of use my mannequins as a canvas and sculpt with the fabric until it really flatters a feminine figure.
4. My themes come from past decades. For the upcoming FW 2015 collection, expect a 90’s grunge vibe fabric-wise. Shapes and silhouettes are more 50’s style with a modern twist.
5. If I could sing, I could moonlight as Lady Gaga. It’s not a personal belief, but it’s what most people seem to think.

We absolutely see your success as a Lady GaGa look alike, Carissa, but we have to admit: we are slightly more excited to see what you present on the runway!
