Built in 1828, The Arcade is the nation’s oldest indoor shopping mall and remains the historic heart of Providence’s downtown. This beautiful structure with its Greek Revival columns, granite walls, and classic facades still stands watching over Westminster and Weybosset Streets for over 185 years. The icon of Providence and lobby of the city’s financial district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and in 1976 was designated a National Historic Landmark.
The newly renovated Arcade preserves the national historic landmark and enhances it with a modern concept. The first floor features retail shops and restaurants, while the second and third floors are home to residents of 48-micro lofts-small, efficiently designed living spaces.
While most people are attracted to The Arcade for their award winning micro-lofts (some of our staff live here!), StyleWeek calls it home to our offices, along with our many friends such as nude boutique.
