February 16, 9PM Kenneth “K-Bobby” Edgar

Closing Monday night’s shows was Kenneth “K-Bobby” Edgar from K-Bobby International.

Edgar grew up in Jamaica, in a family where his father, a typical Jamaican male of that era, was appalled that his son showed an early interest in woman’s fashion. Fortunately, Edgar‘s mother was a forward-thinker, and believed in her son’s clothing talent. Starting at the age of 12, Edgar became a seasoned designer and dressmaker in his village. Wanting to further his natural abilities, he enrolled at the Madame Francoise’s School of Fashion in Kingston at the age of 14.

Edgar earned an Emmy in 1995 for his work as a hair stylist for the 1994 CBS mini-series “The Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All”, and has been photographed and featured in several popular magazines.

Edgar‘s Jamaican roots were evident in his diverse collection for both men and women. Bursting with color and a host of different silhouettes, he had the crowd longing for warmer days.
